1) Why can’t we keep the current dumpsters in place?


This was not an option we could consider. The BRA owns the land the dumpsters are on as well as the dumpster contract.



2) My street is narrow and a trash truck will not be able to fit down my street?


IESI has serviced the lake area for many years and is aware of the narrow passages. They have committed to servicing all that have typically been subject to the BRA dumpster contract and will have vehicles necessary for that purpose.



3) Weekly service is not feasible for those that are only “week-enders” at the lake?


We are aware this contract is not perfect for all parties. We will monitor how well this works and re-assess before the 2012 trash service.



4) This service won’t work for me so I will not use or pay for the service?


The service is not optional for the 1,155 leaseholds subject to the BRA Dumpster Contract. If you have not purchased your lot yet the payment is a requirement of your existing lease. If you have purchased your lot the payment is a requirement of the recorded Trash and Road Covenant (which you received a copy of at closing). All trash bills must be paid on or before January 1, 2011 to be eligible for your resale purchase if you plan to close after January 1, 2011. Late payments can also result in additional late fees and other possible consequences. But we know that you want the lake to be clean and beautiful and we anticipate and appreciate your prompt payment.


5) Who do I contact about my trash service?


Please call IESI @ 1.800.350.3024 or e-mail at pattersonpk@iesi.com for all issues related to service, service days, schedule bulk collection, cart issues, etc.


6) I don’t have a green dumpster/toter for trash service?


IESI has delivered over 1,400 toters. There are only 1,153 trash customers. Each house has received their initial toter.

Unfortunately, we are seeing some theft of these toters. Please mark your toter with permanent marker with your name, address, etc in order to try and stop this problem. If you need a new toter please call IESI at 1.800.350.3024 or email pattersonpk@iesi.com

If you are found to have toters at your residence not belonging to you, you will be invoiced $144 for that toter.
